I will come back here sometime in the next couple of years, along with the desert festival in Timbuktu.

I was here at the end of March, you can see in the photos how incredibly dry it was. Since the desert festival is usually at the end of January, the next time I visit most likely be in December. At that time the area is very green, there are numerous waterfalls and lakes.
