In September Aggie and I went to climb Mt. Whitney (w). It's very difficult to get permits, we had to apply for them in February.
Mt. Whitney is the highest mountain in the contiguous U.S., with an elevation of 4,421 meters (14,505 feet)
Unfortunately I had a problem with my knee, and was not able to make it all the way up to the summit. I stayed in the trail camp while Aggie went up to the top by herself. We drove to the trailhead on Saturday morning (about a 4 hour drive from where we live) and went up to the trail camp. On Sunday, Aggie went to the summit in the morning, then we came down and drove back home.
